I'm almost 24 and have had the Mirena IUD for over a year now. I’m so glad I didn’t let all the negative reviews on the internet scare me away. The insertion process was a bit uncomfortable, lasting about five seconds with a strong pinching sensation, followed by a few hours of cramping, similar to period cramps. After that initial discomfort, I experienced no further pain. Now, I have a very light period that lasts 2-3 days and no cramps at all. It's been amazing and has truly given me my life back. I’m incredibly thankful for it!
